TakeoffCalc is a free construction takeoff calculator site. I built it because most online takeoff tools are either paywalled, ad-heavy to the point of being unusable, or buried behind email signups and free trials. The math behind a gravel estimate or a concrete footing volume is genuinely simple. There’s no good reason a contractor or DIYer should have to pay a subscription or watch a tutorial video to do it.

I’m an independent developer who builds small useful tools. TakeoffCalc started in 2026 with a handful of calculators across roofing and concrete, and currently covers 98 calculators across 22 trades. New calculators are added regularly. The goal is simple: clear math, clean presentation, and no upsells.

Every calculator on the site is free and will stay free. The site is built to eventually support itself through unobtrusive ads. Until then, it’s a side project I work on because practical estimating tools should be easy to use.
